Cancellation & Refund Policy

Clear, fair, and documented cancellation schedules for holiday packages, hotel stays, houseboats, and transport booked with Travel Pathways.

1. Overview and Commitment

At Travel Pathways, we believe in honest travel planning and 100% financial transparency. Because Kashmir itineraries involve reserving high-demand accommodations (such as Dal Lake houseboats, boutique meadow chalets in Gulmarg, and hotels in Pahalgam) along with dedicated transport vehicles and drivers, cancellations impact multiple localized service partners.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy governs all bookings made through Travel Pathways (operated from Asad Complex, Sangrama, Sopore, Jammu & Kashmir 193201).

2. Standard Tour Package Cancellation Slabs

Cancellation Notice Received Applicable Cancellation Fee Eligible Refund
30 days or more before travel date 10% of total package cost (Processing Fee) 90% of total package amount
15 to 29 days before travel date 25% of total package cost 75% of total package amount
08 to 14 days before travel date 50% of total package cost 50% of total package amount
Less than 7 days or No-Show 100% of total package cost No Refund

*Note: If specific boutique hotels, houseboats, or peak winter snow peak periods (Christmas & New Year window: 20 Dec – 05 Jan) operate under non-refundable partner contracts, the guest will be explicitly notified in writing on the booking quote before any payment is collected.

3. Natural Calamities, Weather & Unforeseen Road Closures

Kashmir high-altitude passes (such as the Srinagar–Sonamarg highway or Gulmarg road in heavy snow) are occasionally subject to temporary weather-induced traffic regulations by Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police.

  • Alternative Sightseeing / Re-routing: If a scheduled destination (e.g. Sonamarg) is rendered inaccessible due to heavy snow or landslide, our senior operations desk immediately coordinates alternative accessible sightseeing (e.g., Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, or Srinagar heritage circuits) with no additional cab driver charges.
  • Government-mandated shutdowns or Flight cancellations: If all flights into Srinagar Airport (SXR) are cancelled due to low visibility or extreme weather, guests can reschedule their trip within 6 months with zero penalty charges, subject to seasonal hotel rate differences.

4. Activity Tickets & Add-ons

Activities such as Gulmarg Gondola tickets (Phase 1 & Phase 2) are administered directly by the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC). JKCCC tickets are governed by official government ticketing rules. If the Gondola is closed by the authorities due to high wind or technical reasons, refunds are processed strictly as per JKCCC policy.

5. Refund Processing Timelines

All approved refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to director@travelpathways.in with the booking reference number.

  • Refunds are initiated within 5 to 7 business days of approval.
  • Refund payments are credited back to the original bank account, UPI ID, or card used during payment.
  • A detailed written refund statement showing the deduction and credit reference is provided to the guest.
